- Please also keep their blood a red-ish color unless they have unnatural blood in their species! Same with sclera; keep it natural

- Generally; The Type section on the forum follows that of Animal Crossing Typings; you can find a general listing of how they can be viewed below
- Uchi/Sisterly; Generally a more caring, warm and home-ly character! Usually the best for giving advice or listening to your woes. General good vibes and comfort
- Snooty- Bit of an uppity bitch; they'll tell you how it is and will do so without batting an eye to your feelings. Generally more of the stuck up, im better than you vibes. Can also be for that of someone who is charming, knows their worth but is very picky with certain things
- Peppy- Good vibes all around! Makes me think of the color yellow; energetic, up beat, ready to rock the day and get shit doNE
Kinda like jock, but more sunflower-y, Gen the type of charc who has an upbeat personality - Cranky- Cranky gives the vibes of that grouchy old man or like a brooding man who has mysteries; gen a gruff charc that could?? Potentially have a soft spot and warm up the more ye pester em
- Smug- Smug is,, very self explanatory honestly; Makes me think very prideful; can be egotistical or narcissistic a kind of "rub it in your face" kinda charc. Less like Snooty because while they are prideful; they are infuriatingly so to an annoying point
- Lazy- I always see this as a very relaxed, chill, not very Anxiety induced character! Also naive, and seeing the world as an untainted place, not exactly air-heady but could be used as such. Can also play into the actual type of lazy; being unmotivated and lethargic or something of a shut in
- Jock- I always think of sporty or healthy folks, those who are working out, or jogging- The folks who eat healthy and make really good meals n junk! Also those who are working hard jobs and labor intensive ones; or like surfers! People who swim
- Normal- Gen my overall "this doesn't fit" box! Normal is default and can be used to cover just about any personality type that otherwise doesn't fit
- All characters, unless self employed, should have occupation listed as 'Unemployed' ! Listing Former jobs before moving to the valley is a-okay
- Animals retain what makes them unique! Species with wings, and species with the ability to glide, are able to retain this ability! Animals with prehensile limbs can use their unique features! Aquatic species may hold their breath for longer times underwater, etc!
- Your character must be over 18 to be used as a Playable Character!
- Truesonas and self-inserts are not allowed as playable characters; this is to help ensure that the line between in-character and out-of-character plots and interactions don’t get blurred!
- We understand characters may come from unethical backgrounds, or have made controversial choices in the past. While we love being home to a diverse group of characters, including the crankier, rougher grumps, we urge you to use this space as room for growth for your character, and their behavior within the group must be acceptable. Extreme crimes such as first-degree murder, anything to do with sexual assault, grooming, cannibalism, or serial behavior is not allowed in characters’ pasts. If you’re unsure if a crime is acceptable for bio-purposes, please don’t hesitate to ask!
- Once you submit an app for your character, it will be reviewed by a mod. If your character needs revisions, you are free to make changes until it passes! We’ll help you get there!
- Potential triggers within a character’s history should be listed in the beginning of their history, such as family death, neglect/abuse, etc!
- Each member can earn a maximum of 12 Playable Characters!
- The PC app template, along with its required info, can be found here!
NPC Creation
- NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) are meant to flesh out your characters’ relationships, as well as help populate the city!
- Every member begins with 1 NPC slot! You can unlock more later!
- Members can have a maximum of 8 NPCs at any given time!
- All rules and guidelines pertaining to PC Character Creation apply to NPCs as well, minus the age limit: you may create an NPC who’s under 18, but this NPC must be related to an existing parent or guardian PC in some way. Please be respectful of the character’s age. NSFW content concerning NPC minors will NOT be permitted in any space, and will result in an immediate ban. Let kids be kids.
- NPCs must be connected to one of your PCs in some way, whether that’s as a close friend, family member, old roommate, etc. It’s up to you, but there must be some kind of relationship!
- Art that is focused on an NPC with no PCs present will only count for half the amount of points (rounded up). This is to encourage an overall focus on PCs, but we encourage developing your NPCs too!
- NPCs will be reviewed by mods, but they will not need to be quite as fleshed out as a PC app. Please don’t use this as an excuse to submit a barebones character! We still want to know some history and personality traits!
- If you would like to upgrade your NPC character from NPC to PC, you will need an open PC slot in order to do so
- The NPC app template, along with its required info, can be found here!
Pet Creation
- Once you earn a pet slot, you will be permitted to create a pet! You must have a free pet slot to create a new pet!
- Pets are not anthro (Like villagers). That’d be weird. They can however be bipedal!
- Pets may be modeled after:
- Insects
- Arachnids
- Invertebrates and sea life
- Dinosaurs
- Any combination of these
- When designing a pet after a dinosaur, you may take inspiration/traits from modern day birds! Your tiny dinos are free to have colorful plumage, cute little finch beaks, etc!
- When designing your pet, its colors/patterns/plumage/etc. must look like a naturally-occurring appearance. Rare, limited edition pets with special colors and patterns will be rewarded during events!
- Pets may range from football-sized to lapdog-sized. Please no giant pets! Larger “jumbo” pets may be offered on rare occasions as special drops or prizes!
- Once you create a pet, its design and app will have to be approved by a mod before it is accepted. If it needs revisions, we will help you reach a design that’s acceptable, but one you’ll still love!
- The Pet app template can be found here!
Full Character Swap
- If you’re simply not feeling it with one of your characters, or you’d like to switch a character out for any personal reason, we understand! Every member is allowed 1 Character Swap every 2 months. You are free to bring in a new character of equal or lesser value, and we will remove the previous character from the database. When submitting the new character, please state that you are swapping out a character, and let us know which character is being removed.
Special Character Slots
Hybrid Species:
Oddity Species:
Mythical Species:
- If you obtain a hybrid slot/upgrade, you may create a hybrid species character, or upgrade a current character to a hybrid species!
- Hybrid species can be a cross between any two species you like, as long as at least one of the species is normally accepted.
- For example, crabs are not an accepted species, but cats are - You can make a crab/cat species!
- A fish and a spider are both unacceptable species, so you cannot make a fish/spider hybrid.
- Dogs and cats are both accepted species, so you can make a cat/dog hybrid!
- You cannot make a cross between a mythical species and a regular species without a mythical species slot! (Example: Cat/dragon)
Oddity Species:
- If you obtain an Oddity Slot, you may create a character that has aspects that are otherwise not allowed; Such as robotics, extra limbs, two heads, tentacles, many many eyes, floating wings, etc
- You may upgrade or create a new character using one of these slots! That is a-okay
- Be mindful of what you add on to your oddity; please do not do anything that would require a spoiler if possible [Note that things like fly larvae are forbidden due to the owners phobia]
Mythical Species:
- If you gain a Mythical slot, you may create a mythical species character, or upgrade a current character to a mythical species!
- Your mythical character may retain its mythical powers/abilities (for example, a dragon breathing fire), but please refrain from making the character all-powerful!!
- Please be mindful of the mythical species you choose and be respectful of its origins. You will not be permitted to use a mythical creature from a present/living culture.
- These slots may also be used for extinct animals, you may create an extinct species character, or upgrade a current character to an extinct species!
Buisnesses and Freelance Work
- If you purchase a business license, one of your PCs will be able to open a business in the town! Please make sure your idea for a business isn’t already taken - we don’t need 10 diners! Please consult a mod before locking in your idea!
- To open your business, you will need to prepare a simple visual guide showing a general look for the business (it doesn’t have to be anything hyper-detailed and crazy!), as well as uniforms. Please put these in a st.ash or toyhouse! This will be linked in the database job section for visual reference
- Once your visual guide is complete, you may discuss job positions and how many slots per position with a mod. You can have 2-5 employees, not counting the character who owns the business - The number is up to you!
- Once your business is open and running, you can offer interview RPs! If a member is interested in letting a PC work for you, discuss the potential with that member! If you think it’d be a good fit, you can begin a short interview RP with that member, written or drawn, within one of the rp rooms on Discord!
- Please keep mods up to date on who is working for your business!
- Each member may earn a maximum of 3 business licenses!
- If you’d like your character to be self-employed and work a 1-man freelance position, you will not need to earn a business license! Please note that you will not be able to hire any employees, and your character will only earn 2 instead of 5 DP for submissions showing them doing their job. Your character will need to offer a service that’s not already offered in town!
- If you’d like to expand and hire employees, you will then need to earn a business license!
Relationships
- Relationships within this group is unique compared to others; it takes from how the Harvest Moon Games structure their romance system; this is also similar to that of Stardew Valley but with less hearts. How this system works is that there is 7 heart colors; each heart has a value of LP or Love Points that needs to be collected in order to reach the different levels in the relationship [Note: you do not need to participate in this system if you do not wish to do so; but it can lock you out of marriage and having offspring]
- Every relationship that has a potential to be a lifelong partnership can be started with a 'Black Heart' Event, Every heart will have an event tied to it to progress the collection of Love Points. All relationships with a Black heart event for a single character will be tracked [It will need to be stated when submitting art/writing for Daily life that you are going to start a relationships track]
- Love Points can be obtained the same way as Daily Points; You can state whether you would like Daily Points, Love points or both. Choosing both will split your total in half; going to each pool. Both parties or All Parties can contribute to the LP count
- Love points can only be obtained if the characters are interacting in a piece or within an written piece, as long as it meets the requirements, you can obtain the LP.
- Romance and LP work somewhat the same for NPCS; Do note that once an NPC is married by a PC- They can Not be romanced.
- Player characters are allowed to interact and romance Town or Players NPCS [With permission]; The heart events and LP will be one sided as only the PC will be allowed to gain them or advance the relationship; its essentially a self ship to degree
- Player NPCS can romance PC characters; works the same as above- Would put all the work on the person with the PC though so be mindful
- Player characters are allowed to interact and romance Town or Players NPCS [With permission]; The heart events and LP will be one sided as only the PC will be allowed to gain them or advance the relationship; its essentially a self ship to degree
- There is 7 Heart events that need to be seen before villagers can propose and get married, if they so choose to do so.
- These colors and their LP totals go as follows [Black is where everyone starts, Green is where you can start a relationship and Red is when you can propose]:
- Black heart: 0-99LP || Blue heart: 100-199LP || Purple heart: 200-399LP || Green heart: 400-599LP || Yellow Heart: 600-799LP || Orange Heart: 800-999LP || Red Heart: 1000+LP
- These colors and their LP totals go as follows [Black is where everyone starts, Green is where you can start a relationship and Red is when you can propose]:
- All parties must complete the heart event for it to pass; once both or all are scored the relationship tracker will be updated and you can continue to collect LP
- All villagers when they hit the threshold for entering a new heart color must go through a heart event to continue stacking up LP! These events vary from pair to pair but below is a rough list for what tiers in the relationship are hit via each heart level
- Black Heart: Showing Interest; thinking they are cool or wanting to hang out more
- Blue Heart: Finding themselves liking the other more, maybe there is something there- Just maybe
- Purple Heart: Realizing that there is a crush and a spark there
- Green Heart: They ask each other out; or one does! But this is usually when the relationship actually starts!
- Yellow Heart: Puppylove phase!
- Orange Heart: Things are getting more serious; thoughts of marriage or having children
- Red Heart: This is typically the point where the Blue Feather prompt is activated and they can propose.
- Marriage and offspring follow that of the Red Heart; This maxes out a relationship with another villager. This system is designed to make the process take time and for the paring the be something of a slow burn; so we don't have folks jumping from 'Oh pretty person' to being married within the month
Marriage and Offspring
- Marriage can happen once a relationship has hit the Red Heart Event! If they do not wish to get married; this event can be completed by the pair staying together and having a talk of keeping their relationship serious, etc. However if they do wish to get married; They'll need to completed the Blue Feather Event before they can proceed with the Red Heart Event!
- The Blue Feather event requires that partners are together for at LEAST 4 months! This event requires that of the partner(s) proposing to visit the general store and purchase the rare feather on that of a Tuesday or Thursday. From there the Red heart event can commence; of the planning and actual proposal
- Marriage ceremonies will need that of an announcement piece alongside 3 pieces of the prepping, picking out a venue/cake and outfits n junk before the actual wedding can take place! The wedding can be that of a written, drawn rp or that of a piece of art of the event!
- These events can be more drawn out or can be as quick as two days; it depends on the pacing of the couple and how long it'll go!
Parings to not need to get married directly after the proposal and can in fact be engaged for however long they wish before the ceremony
- These events can be more drawn out or can be as quick as two days; it depends on the pacing of the couple and how long it'll go!
- Marriages allow NPCs; such as parents, siblings or old friends of a character to come to the valley and participate in the events happening
- Once a pair is married they are able to have a child if one or another has a free NPC slot. You can read below for the information on offspring!
Married Couples:
Non-Married Couples:
Adoption:
- A baby may be a hybrid between the two species involved or can follow one of the parents' species!
- Note: If one parent is an oddity or mythical species (or both parents are oddity/mythical), the baby cannot be born with oddity or mythological traits if you are not using an oddity/mythical NPC slot. You must choose a regular species you feel is closest to the parent’s species, and pass those regular traits on.
- For example:
- The mom is a cat, and the dad is a unicorn. The baby could have cat and horse traits, but no unicorn traits.
- The mom is a kitsune, and the dad is a tanuki. The baby could show fox and raccoon dog traits.
- If you use an oddity or mythical NPC slot, your baby can be classified as one of the parents’ species! Hybrid-oddity species and hybrid-mythical species are not allowed, however you may still show small traits from both. You can also upgrade the baby to oddity or mythical later on if you so choose!
- For example:
- Note: If one parent is an oddity or mythical species (or both parents are oddity/mythical), the baby cannot be born with oddity or mythological traits if you are not using an oddity/mythical NPC slot. You must choose a regular species you feel is closest to the parent’s species, and pass those regular traits on.
- If you have a couple who would like to have a baby, at least one member must have an available NPC slot.
- If your pair has twins, either one member must have two NPC slots available, or both members will need one NPC slot available.
- To meet the requirements for a baby, at least three pieces of art must be submitted that show the pair preparing for the baby, dealing with the aches and pains of pregnancy, etc. These can be completed by either member, or both.
- At least 3 months must pass between the first piece of art showing the pair preparing for the baby, and the announcement of the baby arriving.
Non-Married Couples:
- Pairs who are either dating or engaged may also have a baby! Marriage is not a necessity, but all of the rules above apply!
- A couple must be together for at least 6 months.
- To become eligible for a baby, the relationship MUST be at an Orange or Red Heart.
Adoption:
- Your pair may adopt instead if they choose! You must still submit three pieces of art showing the pair preparing for the baby as well as an interview with the Mayor.
- Once three pieces are submitted and an interview done, a mod will randomly generate 10 species. The members can then pick one of these species as the one they wish to adopt!
- Three months must pass between the first piece of art showing the pair preparing for the baby, and the announcement of the adoption being finalized.
- A single character may adopt as well! All of the rules regarding offspring apply, and you must show your character meeting the same requirements. You will need to go through an interview with the mayor before the adoption may be fully completed.
Events
- Events will (hopefully) take place roughly every other month! This can range from solving a mystery to an alternate western au!
- For any art you create that is focused on the event, you will earn temporary Event Points. Event Points will accumulate over the course of the event, and could potentially snag you some cool prizes once the event closes!
- Prizes are often 3 pets that will be raffled off between all who entered the event as well as 5 slots to be won; they go as follows
- 5th place: NPC Slot || 4th place: Regular Villager Slot || 3rd place: Hybrid Slot || 2nd Place: Mythical Slot || 1st Place: Oddity Slot
- Event Points reset at the end of every event, so you’ll always have a fresh start once the next one begins!
